The Department of Biology and Marine Biology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for two tenure-track positions starting August, 2013.  The successful candidates will contribute to undergraduate and graduate courses in microbiology, cell and molecular biology, or a related area, as well as maintain a vigorous, extramurally funded research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.  Candidates in any area of microbiology are encouraged to apply. The Department offers B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology and Marine Biology, and a Ph.D. in Marine Biology. The Department of Biology and Marine Biology values basic, applied, and translational research.
