Te Aka Mātuatua School of Science at the University of Waikato, New Zealand, is excited to be offering two continuing faculty positions in fresh water science – a Lecturer in Freshwater Ecology, and the Toihuarewa – Waimaori Bay of Plenty Regional Council Chair in Lake and Fresh Water Science.
The successful candidate for Lecturer in freshwater ecology will undertake original academic research in the broad area of freshwater ecology and/or limnology (or related discipline) and contribute to teaching, postgraduate supervision, and iwi and community outreach activities relevant to the School.
The Chair in Lake and Freshwater Science will hold an Associate Professor or Professor position, and provide leadership in freshwater science, research, policy, and the fostering of strong relationships with iwi, community groups, and the general public for the Te Arawa Lakes and broader Bay of Plenty Region.
